Wintergreen Essential Oil has a strong mint candy aroma and is a pale yellow or pinkish in color. The Native Americans used wintergreen leaves to brew tea for treating rheumatic problems and chewed the leaves to treat respiratory problems, headache, sore throat, fever, and tooth decay.

Therapeutic Properties:

The therapeutic properties of wintergreen oil are analgesic, anodyne, anti-rheumatic, anti-arthritic, antispasmodic, antiseptic, aromatic, astringent, carminative, diuretic, emenagogue and stimulant.

Benefits of Wintergreen Oil:

Wintergreen oil has been known to treat snake bites, dog bites, stings from poisonous insects like scorpions, wasps, and bees. It is also beneficial for infected and rotting wounds, sores, and ulcers. When mites contact wintergreen oil, mixed into oil or grease, they are killed on contact or usually within a few minutes.
